MANITOU Enter Finnish Single Chart At No. 2

Finland's MANITOU, who feature in their ranks members of OMNIUM GATHERUM, MALPRACTICE and KAIHORO, have entered the Finnish single chart at position No. 2 with their latest single, "Fools in Control". View the whole chart at this location. The single, which was released on February 8 via Firebox Records, also features a cover of MICHAEL JACKSON's "Beat It". A sample of the single's title cut can be heard at the band's official web site at www.manitouband.com.

MANITOU's second full-length album, entitled "Deadlock", will be released on March 22 via Firebox. The material on the CD is being described as a mixture of IRON MAIDEN, ANNIHILATOR, QUEENSRŸCHE, OZZY OSBOURNE, DIO, EVERGREY and JUDAS PRIEST." A pre-listening session for the album will be held at the Finnish Metal Expo on February 18.

MANITOU's debut album, "The Mad Moon Rising", came out in 2004 on the now-defunct Rage Of Achilles Records.
